I have MD 7.2 installed on an Inspirion 5000 with the ATI Rage Mobility P using XF 4. I have had no video problems at all. If fact, MD was one of the only dists.that I didn't have video problems with. The only problem I have run into is that I have a USB mouse attached and sometimes it seems to get locked up. Usually just unplugging it and plugging it back in will fix it, but once in a while I'll have to reboot. My notebook has the ATI with 4MB video RAM. I don't know if you have the 4MB or the upgraded 8MB video. That could be the difference.
