You probably have -18mdk of MandrakeUpdate. Downgrade MandrakeUpdate and
grpmi. This still won't fix the problem.
Now the packages that are showing as still needing updating. Use rpm to find
the old versions e.g.:
rpm -q packagename
You'll note that you probably have two packages of the same name but different
versions.
Delete the older package via:
rpm -e packagname-oldversion
