[Cooker] troubles compiling KDE2 things in mandrake 7.2

I've read the documentation and the configure scripts help but
whenever I try to compile any KDE source code I get hit with errors
about missing .moc files.

There appears to be no target in the top-level makefiles that
would create these files, and the configure script doesn't do it.

The INSTALL, README and COMPILE documents don't even *mention* this.

Any help?

(All I wanted to do was to get the kmatrix screensaver!!!!!)
