It's not childish IMHO.  You don't know where those rpms will go.  It's
possible that someone might take one of these packages and install it on say a
RedHat machine.  If they do and we get rid of the COPYING file then you don't
have the license along with it at all.

Or for that matter a newer RPM on an older version of Mandrake.  Finally the
other issue is that some packages would come with differing versions of the
GPL.  How would you handle that?
