[Cooker] Is there a simple to upgrade?

Hello
        I can't afford to use MandrakeUpdate to download all the necessary
files for
a complete update of my 7.2 box, but I managed to downloaded the entire
directory of rpm files
on a server.   Is there a simple way to upgrade the packages checking
for dependencies and
so on?

        Does MandrakeUpdate check for dependencies?  As far as I could gather,
it does not.
