I got the 7.2 version of initscripts and updated my 7.1 system and it works.
I was then able to install xinetd-* and update wu-ftpd-*

Any real world examples beyond the man pages ?
Mainly IP restricted ftp, telnet, pop3 and imap (yes, I mainly use ssh).
