Chris, while I agree to some extent, this is a forum where people feel
they can talk to Mandrake itself. I hope it's not too much of a
stretch of your imagination to see that reporting that Mandrake's
overzealous jump to KDE2.0 has resulted in a distribution that can no
longer be recommended to newcomers. I suspect that some of desired
impact of reporting KDE problems here has this idea as a target. It's
a shame this has to be explained to Mandrake staff but I guess that's
the real root of the problem. But unless companies like Mandrake take
a more conservative approach to distribution release, it will never be
a true desktop option for most people.
