Hello!
I bought a digital camera (Kodak 215 Zoom) 3 days ago, and as reported in
"supported hardware", it's perfectly working, with Mandrake 7.2 & gphoto.
Now, I have a problem: how can users (NOT root) use the camera?
I attach the Kodak to the serial (ttyS0) run gphoto as "root", download
photos, delete it from the machine etc. etc., so it's alright.
If I login as "claudio" (simple user) gphoto crash reporting "Cannot open
/dev/ttyS0". So I can guess it's a permission problem.
You could suggest to "chmod +s /usr/bin/gphoto", but it's too stupid for in
that way my sister could save an image just called "/boot/vmlinuz"!! :��(
Other way could be to chmod /dev/ttyS0, but how to change permission on the
port?!
Any suggestion will be accepted ;-)
