I realize this isn't a support forum, but looking at
news://3dfx.glide.linux, it seems I am not alone in having with this on a
Mandrake box (though my particular error is slightly different in having
agpgart errors as well). Apparently DRI is being disabled because of an
inability to load the tdfx kernel module.
The box in question is a P200, 96MB, Voodoo3 2000 PCI running Mdk 7.2 with
XF4. There is also an onboard CL-5446 chipset, which is disabled in BIOS
(there is no jumper for hardware disabling). One question is why agpgart is
being tried in the first place when there is no agp board. On a self
compiled kernel from mdk sources, compiling without /dev/agpgart and with
drm generates a tdfx module with unresolved symbols.
One unusual bug I have noticed is the cat error in the below console
messages. It only appears when I comment out the lines for 3 button
emulation in XF86Config-4. Having a 3 button mouse, I don't require the
emulation.
