Maybe i'm wrong, but i remember having seen hdparm settings in rc.locale
or in mandrake.everytime script before (is 7.1, i think). Now i can't
find any 'hdparm' pattern in my entire etc directory, and everything
seems to be trigerred by lilo autotune=1 option at boot time. Is this
right ?
This setting seems not very efficient : on my own box, I/O is set to
default 16 bits, and on the mirror i'm currently installing, neither DMA
nor I/O are OK, altough they both got very recent drives. So, have i to
hardcode correct setting in start scripts as before to fix this ?
