[Cooker] Some characters will be lost - kmail

I am having lots of recent problems with kmail and encodings.  All reply 
messages from me now get the error "Not all characters fit into the chosen 
encoding.".  It then cuts out all the replied text, including my signature 
which is coming from a pre-configured file name.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  My Cooker packages are current 
as of 11 December 2000 19:30 CST - I've been keeping sync'ed to the .no 
mirror.
