okay now add the settings info for
1 global settings (current dev kernel has one that i know about)
2 the list of the hex/ octal/ word /binary settings used for the modules
themselves
3 various alias fred to major 5 minor 2 things
this would be a moby file set but this would stop the "fix just happened
to be mailed to me so i can C&P into a reply problem"
