I wanted screen blanking turned right off.
The control panel had the screensaver off,
but it was still blanking out.
There were no setting; in the control panels
to let me do this. I was stuck...

Now, I've been using Linux since 1993 and its
only recently that I started using KDE/Gnome.

Its amazing how quickly they have lulled me into thinking
in terms of 'control panel applets' to do these things.
Maybe its 'natural'.

But it certainly clouded my mind when it came to figuring
out that I had to use xset...

Maybe some docco explaining this sort of thing,
to educate the newbies and to jog the memory
of the likes of me?
