Actually, a little detail would be nice!  The way you suggested,
--rebuild'ing the src.rpm used to work for me as well.  But I've installed
kernel-2.4.0-0.15mdk and the header files.  There the file
/usr/include/linux/modversions.h gets set to:

#error Modules should never use kernel-headers system headers,
#error but headers from an appropriate kernel-source

As the sources for the kernel driver of NVIDIA seems to include this file,
building breaks.

As I'm not such a C wizard, I don't know how to patch the sources so that
building works.  What is meant by those messages, and how to fix?
