Not off topic at all. MandrakeUpdate is reserved for what an
anonymous somebody somewhere deems to be critical updates and for
security-related updates.
Because Cooker is now incompatible with 7.2, Mandrake has introduced
a new distribution tree for updates to 7.2 at developer discretion.
This is on the mirrors as Mandrake-devel/unsupported/i586/
Here you will find KDE 2.0.1 and also the much better KDE 2.1 (RPMs
updated daily from the CVS by Chris Molnar), updated CUPS, as well as
many other goodies.
Oddly, though, the new gimp 1.2 and the new sane, alhough already in
Cooker, have not appeared here yet.
