Grettings,

I just did a cooker hd.img install [files from 1-12-00] and have a few issues
to report. Hardware is sagernotebook PIII 700, 256 ram, ATI rage 128 video,
Maestro 2E, Linksys model EC2T combo ethernet card which has worked with all
other versions of ML since 7.0.

Important:
All hardware detected properly except...Linksys pcmcia ethernet card [EC2T]

No pcmcia service is running that I can tell. Boot message says pcmcia is
started and OK but I do not believe it. The card worked perfectly in 7.0,
7.1, 7.2 and several cooker versions inbetween. I do not think the pcmcia
service is actually starting though since ther are no errors or beeps or
anything. I tried looking in /proc/bus, /proc/sys, /proc/driver for pcmcia
references but I really do not know what to look for. /proc/bus had entries
for PCI and USB only, I suspect there should be one for pcmcia?

Any help on the pcmcia issue would be greatly appreciated. I can reproduce
the install issues listed below if you need more info on that.

Minor:
1. When selecting a usb mouse during mouse setup the touchpad dies but the
usb mouse does not work...canceled this and went on with install using
touchpad [PS/2] without a problem. After install was completed I was able to
set up my logitech iFeel optical mouse without much trouble using
KDE/DrakConf. There should be a note to user in this module to restart X
after selecting USB mouse since it would not work until I restarted KDE. BTW
this mouse works really well with KDE...it works just as well on almost any
surface, desk, arm of couch, rough wood, pant leg.... Great for laptop use!

2. When prompted to make a boot floppy disk I inserted the disk and said OK
but the install script just went on to the next step without creating the
boot disk.
