Actually ctrl-alt-del is handled by init isn't it? Therefore if some part
of the init process is stuck then ctrl-alt-del cannot work.

I did not see anythign pertaining to Aurora, but the very last thing that
seems to happen in text before Aurora starts in that the serial ports are
checked, so that may have something to do with it, I am not sure.
