In recently trying to view a png image with xli, I found that the 1.16 that
came with Mandrake 7.2 wouldn't do it. (Gave me an error about a depricated
function call).
After some investigation, I found that another author has posted xli 1.17.0
on the web with better png support (I believe he was the initial author of
the png patches).
This version can be found at
http://pantransit.reptiles.org/prog/xli-1.17.0.tar.gz. If I get the chance
I will try to package it up as an mdk rpm, but I figured if nothing else I
should post about its existance.
