Did a clean ftp install last night from sunsite.uio.no.. I
FINALLY am back up, and on my new HD on my laptop.
Looks like the graphic logon has changed. I have two users
configured - root and meyerv. They show up, but in addition there are
a bunch of others - like shutdown, for example. Anyway, why are
these here? SHOULD they be here, if they are actually user id's
for demons?
Also, I loaded both KDE and Gnome (at least I THINK I did),
yet there is only default, KDE and failsafe (?) listed. How do I
get gnome back?
Any help would be appreciated.
