I use nvidia 0.96 drivers. I renamed my XFree libGL libraries .xfree, and
simlinked my nvidia libs instead. But everytime i reboot (or maybe i start
X,
as i have runlevel 5 by default), /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1 turns back into
a a symlink to my old xfree libs...

Here is a clean situation:
[guillaume@agathe guillaume]$ ll /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.*
-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root          740 sep 30 20:39
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.la*
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           12 jan 19 21:37
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so -> libGL.so.1.2*
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           12 fév  6 01:26
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1 -> libGL.so.1.2*
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           23 jan 31 23:41
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2 -> /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.0.6*
-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root       489726 jan 17 00:39
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2.xfree*

And here is situation after reboot:
[guillaume@agathe guillaume]$ ll /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.*
-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root          740 sep 30 20:39
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.la*
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           12 jan 19 21:37
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so -> libGL.so.1.2*
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           12 fév  6 01:26
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1 -> libGL.so.1.2.xfree
lwrxrwxrwx    1 root     root           23 jan 31 23:41
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2 -> /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.0.6*
-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root       489726 jan 17 00:39
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2.xfree*

Is something else suffering from this ?
