Sometime ago, I put in the cooker list the question about use dvd
software. OMS seems to still have problem of coordination between audio
and video, but yesterday I try xine and it runs fine; there area an rpm
in http://xine.sourceforge.net, well, actually, a lot of rpm, I try one
for the 686 (no the RH7 version).

I used a DVD from DVD Magazine (not encrypted), I had to make a linkbe
between my cdom driver and a dvd device:
ln -s /dev/cdrom2 dvd (I have a cd burner in /dev/cdrom1 and the dvd in
/dev/cdrom2); then activate de udf system with the dvd inside the dvd
driver:
mount -t udf /dev/cdrom2 /mnt
and run xine.

After play xine, to have again my dvd reading normal cdrom I had to
umount the udf system:
umount -t udf /dev/cdrom2 /mnt

Easy, isn't it?

Xine looks more developed than oms and it worthwyle to be included in
the next mandrake release, well, this is my opinion.
