I'm running i185e based motherboard, one stick 128MB PC133 (7.5ns) memory,
Fujitsu ATA66 drive (running in ATA66). Mandrake installed on ext2, cdrom
supermounted. The following happened so far pretty reproducably:

1. kernel oops when updating kernel

cd /mnt/cdrom/Mandrake/RPMS
rpm -ivh kernel-2.4.1-xxx

I get kernel oops (null pointer dereference) after it outputs all hashes. It
does modify /etc/lilo.conf in this case, I suspect, oops happens somewhere in
boot loader part of installation. I am not familiar with it - how can I debug
it futher?

Another problem is that after kernel update and reboot system hangs in
stopping automounter. Any chance to prevent it?

2. After updating glibc:

cd /mnt/cdrom/Mandrake/RPMS
rpm -Fvh glibc*
init 6

it fsck all filesystems on startup and really finds some zero indoes. Due to
my Aurora pet I do not know if there are any error mesages when rebooting (no
red icon anyway), but when I switched the system off yesterday I got "busy
dnode (or indoe - do not remember) after unmounting" or something like this so
expect fsck today. Any chance it may be related? Any problem with ext2 in
2.4.x?

Have a nice DOS!
