There is already a 3.0 branch.
Perhaps Cooker could include a gcc-3.0-ss (SnapShot) in addition to 2.96,
like hackgcc in old 7.2-Cooker times (but i hated the 'hackgcc' name...)
shouting loud it is a snapshot, so there is not any other gcc team
page about it.
It would be a nice thing to have similar packages gcc-2.91 (no egcs name),
gcc-2.96 and gcc-3.0, and /etc/alternatives for gcc, kgcc and libstdc++.
So you can play and shoot your feet if you want.
