i would think a simple set of links ie
mailto [EMAIL PROTECTED] to
Stop Mail -
Begin Mail -
Pause mail -
Unpause Mail-
Set to Digest-
Set to Undigest-
would be a good thing to have in the footer
since some of us don't see the full headers
