Everything seems correct on your rpm db, Can you try "rpm --rebuilddb" and try again. This could be a problem here. Do you have a lot of free memory when you start "urpmi --auto-select -v" as this mode consumes a lot of memory (so how much memory and swap (total+free)), do you have a lot of media "ls -l /var/lib/urpmi".
