The istallation was quite smooth exept for few inconveniences. I liked
the most those blue-shaded screens, when the graphical installer seemed
to take a nap just after starting to redraw. Those parts of the
installation process were also way too slow (like installing the
bootloader took forever).

After the installation I took few minutes test on the system itself.
Here is what I've found this far (note: cooker, not beta1):

* installation doesn't remember the options passed to the 3c59x
module when it preserves the network configuration. So my network
card didn't work until I added the options to /etc/modules.conf.

* why to install for example n+1 ftp servers when one would have been
enough? Same goes for the other services too (and for the security I
would like to specify which servers are installed in the first
  place).

* sawfish doesn't work for some reason. I haven't checked it out yet,
but gnome isn't usable without a window manager.

* Mandrake control center is too large for 640x480 resolution
  (my secondary monitor).

* Drakconf / Boot loader -> crash (drakconf seems to be very unstable
  in general too)

That's all for now. Hopefully beta1 is more stable than cooker.

Regards,
  Matias
