Strange++
I'l take a look.
> Hmm, why is this not using alternatives, btw?
Because updatealternatives put a symlink in /etc/updatealternatives for
each alternative, and then a link to one of these links. First, I need a
list of all alternatives of Monitors installed. And that list must be in
the form of a set of files. So they must be in their own
directory. Second, those files can not be symlinks to the real
alternatives, but must be the real ones. So, I have the list of such files
in /lib/aurora/Monitors, and a symlink pointing to one of them as
/etc/aurora/Monitor. In addition, updatealternatives seems seriously
bloated to me. It is about two screenfull of code, while this code is
about ten lines... OK, it has a bug, which I'l fix ASAP, but that won't
probably increase the size. And it is more flexible than ua, since you can
use whatever directory you want... But OK, I haven't taken such a close
look at ua after I discovered that it puts all alternatives for all
programs in the same directory...
