Hello fellow cookers -

Well, yesterday I managed to get into an unbootable state,
and decided to see about booting from a floppy to see if i could fix it.
Small problem - NONE of the images will boot as "rescue" - they all go
into an install program!

Figured I'd save time so I decided to reload from scratch.
Didn't loose much, mostly cooker e-mail, which is in the archive.

Ok, first off, got a great connection to ftp.ciril.fr, so
things went fast. The installer looks very good. The help page
STILL needs some reference to VGAHI.

Package selection - I think that a lot more demons were
selected than on previous installs - but that may have been me.

Lilo is the new default - and when it works it's great.
Problem is that if the VGA mode isn't set - and I DID specify the
correct mode - it bombs. Displays the choices without the logo,
and when one is selected the machine freezes. Managed to boot
to Windows with a floppy THEN reboot (vga chip set mode set by
windows, in other words) and it displays the logo and boots OK.

        V.
