Accidentally (playing with beloved mousedrake :-) my mouse type was set to
PS/2 - and on the next reboot I discovered mouse pointer in Aurora screen.
Set mouse back to imps/2 - no mouse in Aurora any more. Quick string|grep
on monitor did not show any trace of imps/2, as well.

BTW when booting mouse pointer looks a bit erm ... ugly. It disappears
and reappears with every output line, and this flickering is less than
pleasant.
