The Savage IX/MX driver you're shipping in XFree86 is at the 1.1.0 level - it doesn't work (This is the driver for Toshiba Tecra's, and IBM Thinkpad I20's to name two) - The latest is 1.1.15, I don't know about how it's maintained through XFree86.org, but Tim's updates are always released from http://www.probo.com/timr/savage40.html   Regards, Gio
