You need to have a "Full Auto" mode of installation. One that does
*everything*. (Short of reading the user's mind for info, of course.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
How about this have a boot disk with :
an assumed english language workstation
starting from END OF DRIVE 4 gig linux swap and balance of the drive
basic software (kde Gnome standard apps)
no network setup (auto detect LATER)
no printer
standard root password (force first login as root and change password)
drop in the boot loader and say " please eject the floppy in the drive
and replace with a blank disk labeled "Linux Startup disk""( bonus
points if you include a floppy sticker)
TURN EVERYTHING THAT YOU CAN OFF (or don't install in first place)
any recent hardware should be able to do the install about 20 minutes
(if that)
