Formal (works for any service installed from mdk RPM and many from
RH|SuSE RPMs as well):
service inet restart
...or...
/etc/rc.d/init.d/inet restart
...or use linuxconf's services control panel. Or...
Informal:
killall -HUP inetd
...or...
kill -HUP $(cat /var/run/inetd.pid)
...and there are probably at least 8 other ways... (-:
