I get this when booting:

...
autorun ...
... autorun DONE.
NET4: Linux TCP/IP 1.0 for NET4.0
IP Protocols: ICMP, UDP, TCP, IGMP
IP: routing cache hash table of 512 buckets, 4Kbytes
TCP: Hash tables configured (established 8192 bind 8192)
Linux IP multicast router 0.06 plus PIM-SM
IP-Config: No network devices available.
NET4: Unix domain sockets 1.0/SMP for Linux NET4.0.
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).
SCSI subsystem driver Revision: 1.00
kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno = 2
reiserfs: checking transaction log (device 03:45) ...
...

Actualy, I've noted this a while back, with -7mdk for sure. I have two IDE
on ide0 and CD-R + CD-RW on ide1, no SCSI at all. It happened with ext2
root as well (if it matters). Append string is:

append=" hdd=ide-scsi ide1=autotune ide0=autotune"
