I noted in a previous posting that the gui login fails miserably at boot
time (screen filled with blue and some stripes -machine totally locked -
power reset required).
Just to confirm that this is totally broken, I get the same results if I
telinit 5 into this.
I have a Savage video card, and this is working quite normally if I enter
X from run level 3.
I'm not really interested, since I can never get XFCE to work reliably
from the gui login, even on Mdk 7.2, but you probably should fix this
behavior.
