Very likely to be the same problem that everyone else has with
Antialiased fonts, support was just added to the NVidia driver.
To disable Antialiasing, go to control center -> Style.
If you want to use it, install the XftConfig file from my previous
post and URW-fonts or truetype.tar.gz from www.keithp.com.
