I realize now that it probably isn't KDE's fault. It turns out that the
*first* time I try to login using a recent Cooker nothing happens after I
press enter on Password. It just stays there, regardless of kdm or console.
What logs could I look in to see what's stopping it from logging in
completely?
If I then switch to another console (ctrl-alt-f[n]) I can login nicely.
