[Cooker] Dead RPM ? Dead Kpackage?

Hello,

        Last night I loaded all of the available updates to my system, which
I believe included something to do with RPM.  Today I go to run KPackage, 
and it bombs while building the package tree..  I figured maybe when I
did the update I may have mashed the database, so i did a
rpm --rebuilddb.  It died with the error message:

memory alloc (702624872 bytes) returned NULL

What's this?  can I get around this?
