In KMail | Settings | Spellchecker, what do you have as Client? I tried
to select Aspell, because it has a *British* English dictionary rather
than the yankee one of International Ispell - but it doesn't work and
gives the message :
ISpell could not be started.
Please make sure you have ISpell properly configured and in your PATH.
I reported this on the KDE bugs list at an early beta KDE2 (under KSpell),
or it might have been KEdit or KWrite, but anyway it's still not fixed.
