Hi folks, yesterday I installed cooker (always most current) 2nd time in 3 days but always I got following problem: During install (networkinterface) I select to create a LAN (locale ethernet) and an internet-connection over modem. all works fine except that it is not posible to leave the PPP-sceen in a normal way (always I have to cancel this). But anyway, this is the smal problem. After first restart got the LAN working as expected (no problems). Next: tryed to connect to the internet over kppp (preconfigured during instnatll)- connect works also like expected. The ifconfig cmd shows eth0 lo0 and ppp0 like each time. ppp got the IP and the DNS over dhcp from the ISP like everytime. A ping to the peer p-t-p IP works also fine. 1. But when I try to use the DNS - nothing works (DNS is updated in the resolve.conf). 2. When I try to ping to an Internet-IP except the p-t-p IP (outsite the local LAN) nothing works, always it trys to go over the local LAN which is not possible and was also never seen in the past. Is there any change to the ppp what I missed, do I have to do any postinstall things to get the ppp working again ? Is this a bug or has this somthing to do with new security-behaviours ? I could reproduce this on to fresh installed system. Any ideas ? any help ? Thanks in advance Udo
