Hi All,

I find that if I leave my desktop box on overnight, I can't wake it
up the next morning. (Kinda like me :-) The mouse and keyboard
become totally unresponsive and I have to hit the reset button (ouch).
My first instinct was to blame apmd so I stopped it. This kept the
CRT from going blank but the input devices still froze. I went into
CMOS setup and turned everything off there. No good. I built a new
kernel with no power management support. Still no good.
  Here are some hardware specifics:

System: Dell Precision 330 / Intel 850 Chipset
Processor: Intel Pentium 4, 1.5 GHz
Memory: 2 GB PC800 ECC RDRAM (4 RIMMS)
    Graphics: nVidia Quadro2 Pro, 64MB
Hard drives: Two Western Digital 20GB ATA 100 7200rpm (WD200BB)
    CD drive: Lite-On 48X Max (LTN486)
    Keyboard: Enhanced QuietKey PS/2
       Mouse: 3-button Logitech PS/2

I would very much appreciate any advice that doesn't require 3rd
shift workers to wiggle my mouse periodically.

Thanks,
Rick
