There have been some posts here about machines hanging with
reiserFS. As I mentioned earlier I've been getting these
hangs as well. I could reliably get them by trying to install
a few RPMS (it wouldn't happen on the first install),
regardless of whether I do it from a console, urpmi,
rpmdrake, kpackage or rpm. After excluding the video driver
as at fault I decided to try the 2219 kernel. No problems
now. Somewhere between VIA motherboard, 2.4.2, reiser and
rpm theres a problem. I cannot get any log of the crash as
all writes to the disk fail to occur. I hope 243 will fix
that... I don't think cooker is quite at a deep enough
freeze to exclude that yet?
