I have my system all reiser fs and only experience this if I try to use
mandrake update. It locks up the system and messes up the rpm database.

Issueing an rpm -rebuilddb fixes it. after that I just use gnorpm to install
all my packages. And even if I have allot of them, say 150 - 200megs or
more,the install goes fine.

And one last note I was experienceing that only with mandrake 7.2 with
reiserfs created with mandrake 7.2. My 8.0beta bow has been all newly
formated with the new reiser and I havn't seen this at all. But then again I
havn't tried rpmdrake in 8.0 either. I'm sticking to gnorpm for now.
