I have other problem with the ide-cd since 2.4.x
In 2.2.x I could mount my cd-writer with the device /dev/scd0, /dev/scd1,...
(mount /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdrom ...)
Now I cannot do that. However I can burn and make images from the writer
perfectly.
Are there any new names for the atapi devices? How can I mount them?

Now I have Mandrake 8.0b2

If you are not going to include the binary driver from matrox, nvidea...
perhaps you could put them in a visible rpms in your web? Why don't you make
a drivers section for binary drivers or drivers updates?
