Well, my PC is opened on the table, for I'm trying to arrange my hard-disks
in the best way. I've a motherboard MSI-6321 (dual P-III onboard) with:

- Primary IDE controller ATA-66
- Secondary IDE controller ATA-66
- Primary IDE controller UATA-100
- Secondary IDE controller UATA-100

No problems when I use all ATA-66 (I mean: 4 deviced on IDE-66), so now dmesg
report:
hda: QUANTUM FIREBALLP AS20.5, ATA DISK drive
hdb: QUANTUM FIREBALLP LM15, ATA DISK drive
hdc: QUANTUM FIREBALLP AS20.5, ATA DISK drive
hdd: TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-M1502, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive

Since I mean to realize a software-RAID-1 with both Quantum-AS20.5, I tried
to attach them on ATA-100 controller: one hd for each channal.
Results are horrible: only the drive attached on Primary channel is
recognized during installation... So the second drive is unusefull!
I don't think it's an hardware pb, since the controller reports right values
for both hd during bootstraping. Is it a kernel's pb?!
Things even went worse when I tried to attach the hard-disks on a PCI
controller (it's ATA-66, the abit-BPP66 or something similar): installation
hangup just after dectection of the PCI controller if any disk is attached on
it, while it goes on if no disks are attached...
Any help about it!?!

        Thanks, Claudio
