There are a couple token ring patches that I'd like to request added to
LM8.0.
>From http://www.linuxtr.net there is a olympic-2.4.3.patch.gz which
provides 2.4 kernel support to the Olympic (PCI-based card) driver.
There is also a ibmtr-all-2.4.2-ac28.patch.gz which adds support for the
2.4 kernel for ISA and PCMCIA cards, as well as allowing the PCMCIA
driver to autodetect its settings (so you don't have to mess with
config.opts).
There are a lot of us poor IBMers still using token ring who would
appreciate these patches being included in 8.0. (I didn't see any token
ring patches in the 2.4.3-3mdk source RPM)
