Hi!
I've installed kernel-2.4.3-3mdk. This added those lines to
/boot/grub/menu.lst:
title 243-3
kernel (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.3-3mdk root=/dev/sda5 vga=1
initrd /boot/initrd-2.4.3-3mdk.img
This is wrong in 2 things and ugly in 1 case.
Wrong:
line2: (hd0,1) is /boot - is the really permanent fix to make a symlink in
/boot like so: ln -s boot . ? If so, then this ought to be added to the
filesystem package
line3: This is plainly wrong. It should be "initrd
(hd0,1)/boot/initrd-2.4.3-3mdk.img" - or rather, to take my 1st point into
account "initrd (hd0,1)/initrd-2.4.3-3mdk.img"
Ugly:
line1: "title 243-3" - *I* would like "title 2.4.3-3mdk" a lot more - but
that's just me.
