ok let's do open development, currently when we uninstall a kernel if
we are in the CLASS=beginner i remove the entry from lilo.conf (or
grub equivalent) to don't fill up the file, do you think i do that in
all case or don't do that at all.

what i think should be done is simple
have in the boot loader
Original kernel = vmlinuz from cd set
Current kernel = vmlinuz from last installed upgrade as which ever  >
vmlinuzc
Special Kernels= stuff for Win4lin and other hacked kernels/ alt OS ect
This way you by default reuse the second entry so no question is present

during "Flag Day" stuff you just reset Original and Current to the new
kernel
