Well, it installed smoothly. Nice.
Then I went and added 
vga=794 
to lilo.conf.
Sheesh! When i rebooted, I got a cool welcome screen i hadn't ever seen 
and a freeze on the "setting default font" line.

Only way out was to hard reboot and then boot thru failsafe
and remove the vga=794 line.
2 questions:
a) where is the welcome graphic?
b) how do I get the small font effect of the vga=794 line in lilo?
