You know what?  I'd call exactly this a good thing!  I say so, because it
would help fix bugs faster.

Kernel updates for stable releases are only issued when there's a security
issue.  The people affected by your statement above are people who use
Cooker packages.  Cooker packages are per definitionem not for stable
releases.  This means that a known to be unstable software is used.
