2.4.3 kernel is using serial 5.05 that assigns ttyS4 to PCI modem (it reserves
first four ports for legacy COMx). 2.4.2 was assigning ttyS2 (assuming, you
have two COM ports) or next free number.
Just relink your /dev/modem to correct /dev/ttyS4.
To Mandrake - folks, I have warned you about it about half an year ago. Now,
people are going to have fun after update 7.2 -> 8.0 :-/
